ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Our standard setup includes a 240V, 5.5kW electric spa heater and 1.5HP pump. A dedicated
40-amp GFCI breaker is required (system may operate on 30-amp GFCI if needed). Use #8,
3-conductor wire. Always consult a licensed electrician to ensure compliance with local codes.
FOUNDATION REQUIREMENTS :
Spas ship with fixed joists spaced ~16" on center.
Ideal base :
- Concrete pad (best option)
- Level gravel with pavers (acceptable alternative)
Avoid installing directly on a deck without structural reinforcement-consult a professional carpenter.
EQUIPMENT BOX DIMENSIONS :
Pump, heater, ionizer, and filter are pre-assembled in a 24" x 32" x 22" tall cedar equipment chest for simplified hookup.
WATER SANITATION :
Each tub includes a U.S.-made ionizer that handles up to 95% sanitation automatically.
- After each session, add a small amount of Sodium Dichlor chlorine to reach 2-3 PPM
- Avoid exceeding 5 PPM to protect cedar wood
- Maintain pH between 7.2 - 7.8
DRAINING & FILTER MAINTENANCE :
- Drain water every ~90 days, depending on usage and water balance
- Rinse filter every 1-3 months (more often is better) :
1. Rinse with garden hose
2. Soak in 5 gal water + 2 cups white vinegar for 1 hour
3. Rinse again before reinstalling
4. Leave air bleed valve open when refilling
HEATING TIME :
Heating time depends on water volume and ambient temperature.
- Typical: under 12 hours with standard electric heater
- Faster option: Connect to an on-demand/tankless water heater
